Manor on the Bay Guesthouse is a 1862 Manor house situated on the white beaches of peaceful Gordon's Bay, South Africa. The Manor provides luxury accommodation in all 6 en-suite bedrooms. It's close proximity to Cape Town, the Winelands and over 12 golf courses provides an excellent base from where these truly unique Cape attractions can be experienced.
Manor on the Bay is situated in Gordons Bay, one of South Africa's top tourist destinations. The manor was built in 1862 and used as a summer residence by the famous Beit-family from Ireland. The owners, Schalk and Hanél van Reenen invite you to come and experience South African hospitality and enjoy their beautiful manor with its Oregon floors, high ceilings and magnificent unsurpassed mountain and sea-views. ACCOMMODATION
We have 7 spacious and uniquely decorated bedrooms with en suite shower/or bath to choose from. All rooms have modern conveniences i.e. safes, computer links, hairdryers, mini-bars, TV with M-Net & Satellite TV, air-conditioning and some have fire-places. Extra luxuries include toiletries, pure cotton linen, gowns, pool towels and laundry services.
DINING
Breakfast is served at the swimming pool or in the dining room! A snack menu is available throughout the day. Quality restaurants are within walking distance and golf-courses, hiking-trails, shopping malls and more white beaches are easily accessible. Horse-riding, scuba-diving, picnic-baskets and sunset cruises can be arranged for on request.
Whale watching from our patio is possible between the months of August and November.
WEDDINGS
Manor on the Bay Guesthouse offers the ideal setting for small weddings - up to 30 people seated. The garden, under the 2 big palm trees and overlooking the bay, offers a tranquil atmosphere for a garden ceremony. Kindly contact Hanél to get your customised quote - different menu's to choose from. We'll also arrange a photographer, make-up artist and minister for private weddings. Please note that dancing is not permitted since Manor on the Bay is in a residential area.
CONFERENCES
Manor on the Bay's air-conditioned conference venue ( 8 x 4.3 m ) ( Ceiling height of 3.1m ) can accommodate up to 22 people, seated in Board Room Style, and 25 people in Cinema Style. We are able to accommodate two groups in breakaway sessions. More groups can be accommodated if the weather permits, since our gardens offer an ideal place to brainstorm creative ideas.
