With its Mediterranean climate, scenic environment and well-maintained facilities, Stellenbosch is the second-oldest town in South Africa and affectionately referred to as the "Town of Oaks". Accommodation The hotel consists of 176 rooms which evenly divide into 88 Deluxe Suites and 88 Twin Rooms. Deluxe Suites consist of a double bedroom with king size bed, separate lounge area and kitchenette, a full bathroom with separate shower en-suite. Twin rooms consist of two ¾ beds and bath en-suite (shower only). The rooms can be booked as a family unit, which combines the Deluxe Suite and Twin room to form an apartment. All the top-level apartments have a balcony, while shaded carports are available outside most apartments.

The Aristata Restaurant, offering traditional buffet breakfast from 07:00 to 10:30, lunch from midday onwards and à la carte dinners from 17:00 to 22:30. A separate smoking section in restaurant. The Black Bull Bar offers a more informal atmosphere, with seating both inside and outside on the lawns. Here, you can enjoy a cold beer or a glass of wine from the many neighbouring estates. With projection TV, it’s a must for all sporting occasions and live entertainment in the evenings.
Conference facilities The hotel has been designed specifically to cater for the needs of the conference market. Accommodating up to 240 delegates schoolroom style, it has a pre-assembly area flowing off the hotel bar and foyer, an Internet terminal area for delegates to keep in touch with the office via e-mail and a vehicle access point into the conference room. There are also two breakaway rooms off the pre-assembly area, able to seat 12 delegates each, which a 30 metre deck off the conference venue will be available for outside tea/coffee breaks (as an alternative to one of many venues) or barbeque area - all with breathtaking views. All conference rooms have natural lighting and 100% blackout lined curtains and all the state of the art equipment you would require, as well as ample parking for non-resident delegates, separate from hotel GUESTS. Entertainment Outdoor attractions and Sporting activities include wine tasting on the Stellenbosch Wine Route, fly-fishing at Jonkershoek and angling at the nearby Strand as well as cycling and mountain biking. There are three golf courses within 10km of Stellenbosch, Stellenbosch Golf Club, Devon Vale Country Club and Spier Country Club. There are also various hiking and horse trails and Nature Reserves and Botanical Gardens. |
