skies in the outside boma area where an open fire menu and cultural activities are experiences to cherish.

Drakensberg

The Drakensberg is South Africa's longest and highest mountain range and home to a variety of people and cultures. If you are the type of traveller who enjoys “the more the merrier” and no-fuss type of accommodation, then you’ll enjoy your stay in our Drakensburg Dorms. Here you will find 4-bedded rooms styled with African designed linen and unique wooden light fittings. Each room has 4 secured lockers to ensure your belongings can be securely stored. Communal bathrooms with quality shower fittings are located close to the Dorms and are always kept clean. An added feature is that towels can be arranged should the guest require.

Great Lakes
The vastness of the famous Great Lakes region found in Central Africa epitomises our spacious self-catering apartments that have been beautifully fitted to ensure that you can luxuriate and enjoy your stay in Africa in comfort and design. Additionally the apartments are serviced and are fully equipped with kitchen utensils and bathroom accessories.
A secure wall safe is fitted in each apartment. Each unit can cater for either 3 adults or 2 adults/2 children on twin beds and a sleeper couch.

Okavango Delta
The Okavango Delta in Botswana conjures up an image of a true African adventure and our Okavango Suites at Planet Africa have been designed to enhance your African experience with twin beds draped with the romantic design of mosquito nets over specially crafted bed pillars. The large en-suite bathrooms with towels and complimentary toiletries have also been decorated with unique wooden fittings to add to the African ambience of the Okavango Suites. A wall safe is fitted in each room for your convenience. This type of accommodation is sold per room, so you can either choose your roommate or take pleasure in enjoying the privacy of your own room and bathroom.

Rift Valley
Our Rift Valley Rooms inherit their name from the unique geographical land feature that covers a 6000 mile crack through the earth’s surface in Central and East Africa. The Rift Valley Rooms have twin beds, so you only have one fellow traveller, and also offer an en-suite shower. Towels and complimentary toiletries are standard features.
The rooms are styled in African design and also fitted with lockers for your belongings.

Adventure Travel

Planet Africa Lodge offers a travel centre with knowledgeable and experienced consultants who will be happy to assist with any requests; whether it be for an exciting day trip in Cape Town, to the ultimate adventure of an overland safari through Africa. In addition they can recommend accommodation for independent tourists travelling further, arrange car hire, airport transfers and advise on any other travel arrangements. An Internet facility in the Travel Center is available at a nominal cost for Planet Africa guests.

Serengeti Restaurant
This offers the ultimate outdoor African dining experience. Guests will be able to enjoy their food in the true tradition of African Kings and Queens in a thatched Boma with open fireplace, eat as much as you can carnivore-carvery area and pool deck with its own African island style outdoor bar or order from the A La Carte menu.

Children’s policy:

Children are welcomed at Planet Africa.

Children under the age of 3 years are no charge.

Children from 3 to 7 years of age pay 50% of accommodation rates charged to accompanying adults.

Children from 8 years of age and upwards pay full rates.

Transfers between Planet Africa and Cape Town airport are available from ZAR130 per person. Booking in advance essential for these transfers.
