More than 30 attractions include 24 rides ranging from kiddie rides to family rides and thrill rides for the more intrepid adventurers. Train rides and boat rides add to the offer. Snake shows and bird shows, guaranteed to enthrall audiences, add spice and variety to the full day's entertainment.

The white-knuckle thrills and spills, are only one element offered by Ratanga Junction. The other attractions are designed to entertain children, families, and those who prefer to take their thrills in more manageable doses. 

The Cobra

One of the most challenging of the rides is The Cobra, a suspended looping coaster which catapults riders from a height of 34m along 910m of track at up to four times the force of gravity and speeds of close to 100km per hour. Adding to the thrill of the ride is the suspension of riders beneath the track, feet flying free. This ride is not for the faint-hearted. 

The Sling Shot

The latest ride addition to Ratanga Junction is the Sling Shot, a high adrenaline ride rated as one of the most thrilling extreme rides in the world.

Combining elements from skydiving and hang-gliding, the Sling Shot skycoaster enables "flyers" to enjoy the exhilarating sensations experienced in these two sports without it being cost prohibitive or requiring training.
All you need are nerves of steel.

Riding three abreast, riders are strapped into a full body harness which supports them in a prone position. They are then hoisted 10 storeys into the air to the top of the launch tower with nothing between them and the ground

The flight suits are connected to flight cables and on pulling their own rip cord, riders plunge in a 30m freefall at 80 to 90km/h to within centimeters of the ground before swinging upwards in a 180 degree arc and then straight down again. Thereafter the ride settles into a slowing swing before being retrieved by the flight crew.

The Sling Shot opens the skies to everyone, young and old alike, making humans dream of "flight" accessible to all. However, beware: The Sling Shot is the ultimate thrill ride. They simply don't come scarier than this. 

The Tarantula

One of the newest of Ratanga's attractions, this high adrenaline ride has two giant arms that gyrate and toss riders in a whirling motion to a height of 16m - four and a half storeys high - before sending them in a terrifying downward twisting spiral to within a metre of the ground and then up again. Over-the-shoulder harnesses, similar to The Cobra, secure riders, who sit 24 abreast on a double-sided gondola, for the gut-wrenching ride. A challenging thrill ride, The Tarantula, is only recommended for those with cast iron stomachs.
