For those
who don't follow the trend, but create it, a discovery awaits you.
The heart of Upper Woodstock is reinventing itself.
de Lempicka's Restaurant & Bar Lounge will delight the senses.
Indulge in the experience.
Woodstock, one of the oldest
and most historic suburbs in Cape Town, now has a restaurant and lounge bar
that reflects it's colourful past. Various themes and diverse colours create
an eclectic, relaxed atmosphere.
Downstairs, in our restaurant, patrons can enjoy homely food at very
reasonable prices. Amongst the dishes on our starter menu are Chilli
Poppers, Pita Platters and delicious Deep fried Camembert. The main courses
include Lamb Shanks in tomato, red wine and celery as well as Crumbed Pork
Chops with homemade apple sauce, Vegetarian Butternut & Blue cheese Lasagne
and Karoo Lamb Chops. At de Lempicka's you will also find what has been
called "the best Bread & Butter Pudding in the whole wide world".
Upstairs we have a beautiful, old world pub and adjoining lounge bar for
those private moments. Delicate lighting and ample fairy lights create an
atmosphere that delights the senses and feeds the soul. Expect the
unexpected!

Tamara de Lempicka
(1898-1980)
Tamara de Lempicka (above right hand picture) was born in Poland and moved
to Russia, where she lived until the Bolsheviks arrested her husband during
the Russian revolution. After securing his release they fled to Paris. There
she learned to paint, enrolling at the Académie de la
Grand Chaumière. After marrying her second husband, she settled in New York
where she lived for the remainder of her life.
Today de Lempicka originals are much sought after by serious collectors as
her works are thought to encompass all that was Art Deco.
