Fusion means the blending of different styles and tastes, which is an accurate description of everything in this trendy restaurant. The restaurant is owned by Dad Petrus, Mom Estelle and Son Petri, who is a qualified Chef with international and local experience. His creative flair results in dishes with exceptional taste, quality and presentation.
Located right on the seafront of Hermanus, patrons can sit outside enjoying the sun, wonderful food, good wine or some of our local or international beers, whilst watching and listening to the whales play in the bay. Seating with the same stunning view is also available inside the very trendy decorated restaurant and lounge areas in either the smoking or non-smoking sections.
Water running down a glass pane separates the kitchen from the restaurant, which adds to the ambiance but also, in conjunction with the cameras in the kitchen and big plasma screens, allows customers to see how their food is prepared.
What differentiates Fusion Café from other local restaurants is the combination of different flavors to create a unique taste for each dish.
This is also augmented by some non-traditional ways of preparation and stylish presentation of food. For example, our fish is not fried or grilled but pan steamed in a bit of garlic, white wine and only fresh herbs (no dry spices). The speciality burger combines the flavors of our own beef patty, topped with proscuito ham, brie and fig chutney. Those with a bigger appetite can always try the fillet of beef with warm pepperonata dressed rocket and goats cheese with a rich cashew nut and thyme jus. The daytime menu provides for breakfasts, sandwiches, salads, fish, meat & chicken, pizzas and desserts. The slightly more formal evening restaurant provides for more variability under the headings of starters, mains and desserts. |
