Wine Estate lies alongside the Breede River , ±9 km from Robertson on
the R317.
This prestigious wine estate has enjoyed the expert attention and
dedication of three generations of the Bruwer family. Today André Bruwer
and his son, Jacques combine their experience, personal attention and
love for wine to produce a selection of the country’s finest wines.
Bon Courage Estate has been the recipient of many awards, trophies, gold
and double gold medals, both locally and internationally. These include
the prestigious ‘Diners Club Winemaker of the Year ‘award for a Special
Late Harvest and the sought after General Smuts Trophy for a shiraz.
Last year Bon Courage’s Cap Classique ‘Jacques Bruére Brut Reserve was
the winner of” Wine Magazine Cap Classique Challenge 2004”, as well as
on the” Classic Wine Trophy Show 2004”. Lately Bon Courage’s Chardonnay
Prestige Cuvee won a gold medal internationally on the “Chardonnay du
Mondé 2005” competition.
These and all the other awards bear testimony to André and Jacques’s
continuous commitment to quality and their dedication to the creation of
a variety of fine wine which includes a selection of noble whites,
classic reds, sweet wines as well as the sparkling wines. Bon Courage’s
