The Wine Desk is Ligia de Coito. Winemakers and wine lovers in the Cape have come to know her during the 9 years she worked at the Cape Wine Academy in Stellenbosch, South Africa’s oldest and most respected wine tasting training facility.

The Wine Desk works only with accredited specialist wine tour guides. This means you are guaranteed a fun day out and user-friendly answers to your questions. No more boring trips staring out of bus windows. No more confusing techno-speak. You are here to enjoy yourselves and the Cape's stunning wines. That's what the Wine Desk is for.

Ligia is co-ordinator of the SA Wine Tourism Forum, is a member of Skäl and Slowfood, hosts monthly Saturday get-togethers for local wine lovers and has organised and led wine and food gourmet tours to France and Italy.

Day Trips
A day trip can last the whole day, or just a morning or afternoon, with or without lunch. If you are really pressed for time, we can treat you to a short excursion in two or three hours – and your guide can drop you at the airport. It’s your call. Simply contact us with your schedule and preferences and leave the rest to us.

Packaged Tours
We have put together a selection of packaged tours to show visitors the very best of the Cape and to share our love for this spectacular part of the world. While wine will always feature in our tours, all these tours provide a balance by visiting other places of interest as well.

They range from 4 days to about 2 weeks. But as always, we are open to suggestions. And as always, wherever possible, you tell us when you want to depart.
